Most state employees receive these holidays.
From the Classified System Personnel Rules and Regulations:
003.01 Weekend Holidays. When a holiday falls on the first day of an
employee’s weekend, it shall be observed on the preceding day. When a holiday falls on the
second day of an employee’s weekend, it shall be observed on the following day. A weekend is
two consecutive days off, whether they be Saturday/Sunday, Tuesday/Wednesday, Friday/Saturday,
etc.

Agency Personnel Contact about holiday leave for your position.
